I have found the answer to my money problems.....
DONT GO SHOPPING.....
Or more like dont go into stores unless absolutely necessary. Seriously, the only stores we went to over the weekend was Aldi's. And that was for groceries. And guess what, the only money spent over the weekend was at aldis, besides the bills that I had to pay online!! it may seem obvious to some, but to me until recently I guess it never hit me that if I stay home I wont be spending any unnecessary money!! Dahhh.
Now when I do go out I am going to have a list and stick to it. Christmas is around the corner, so every extra dime I have is going to go to that. Christmas is one thing that we always splurge on for the kids, and I think that is okay. My mom always did for us and so I guess I have just followed suit.
I realized that my husband is making almost twice as much a year than he was making when we first got married. That is pretty good, I dont know how we even survived back then. Really we didnt. My parents bailed us our more times than I would like to admit. But now we are self sufficient and I am sooo proud of that! I feel like we have come such a long way! Dont get me wrong, money is still extremely tight, but I make it work, and I pay all of our bills. I have learned so much over the years. I am still learning. Now I am really trying to get smart about things, I want a savings!!! I want no debt, besides my home. Thats a long way off, but I am really trying, and as for now, its not going to happen until I get all these doctor bills payed off that I have payment plans set up on. So I'm really trying to pinch my pennies.
What are some of your money tips?

I don't know if i really have money stratagy. I make sure my bills are all paid every week but then i know we blow a lot of money too. Especially on the weekends!! I think my big thing is making sure we have groceries on hand and a menu plan, otherwise it is too easy to eat out! Also i think minimizing (sp?) how much we are gone on the weekends is a deciding factor as well. Hmmmm... guess i wasn't too much help, its just what came to mind!
Oh I know, thats what I ment by what I said,, its just amazing how much you can save if you stay home!! I hope now that you have your blog maybe you'll post your menus too,,, its fun to know what others are making...{
I use coupons and shop at cvs!! I last night just got huggies diapers that are usually $12.something.... for like $4.39 out of pocket!! Woo hooo.... I am a dedicated cvs shopper. I also get alot of free stuff like toothpaste. Right now you can get CREST PRO HEALTH WHITENING toothpaste for free!! My CVS was out of it though. I'll have to check the other ones. I too shop aldi's for fresh produce alot of times. Staying home is a good tip.
I agree. Don't go out and you won't spend money. But....there's always online shopping!!!!
I am so bad!
I never go out except to get groceries or small errands. Same for hubby. Online shopping was really bad for me. I've stopped now and only used it now for Christmas. :) I still window shop. :D
Hugs!
I used to go to cvs every single week, but have slowed down a quiet a bit. I do have some EB's I need to use,, is there a sale there on huggies this week steph?
Also I thought of another good tip,, use your leftovers, we do this all the time now, mostly Bennie takes them to work , which saves us tons because the vending machine there is crazy expensive!! Plus my food is way better than any vending machine food:)
yup...stay home!!!!!!! Agree 1000%:):) There seems to be so much cool organizational stuff and other things I wanna get when I see it!! When I just stay home I make things work!
No. Acually there isn't a sale on huggies this week at CVS. Which there is alot of times though. I just had a $2.oo off huggies cvs coupon, a $1.50 off huggies coupon from the huggies mailer, and had $5.00 extra bucks. I just love saving money!!
