Salads!!

As I'm sitting here typing right now I am trying to convince my brain that I am NOT  hungry!  I ate a perfectly fine lunch and do not need to eat right now.   I am trying very hard to get back on the right track with my eating and weight.  I need to shed some pounds,,, I feel like a lump, and when I see pics of myself it disappoints me.  Granted I'm still 70 pounds lighter than I was 3 or so years ago but I still need to lose quite a bit more to get back to where I started before I got pregnant this last time. 

I bought fresh veggies over the weekend and made up them all into a salad so it was all premade for me and ready to eat for lunches and dinners....even the kiddos have said the salad taste yummy!  I think already having it cut up and ready to go is the key for me cause during lunch time I'm to busy to cut up all the veggies, this way I can just dump them into a bowl and add a little dressing. 

I know its possible!  I've did it before,, Its just so much harder this time!   Anyone have any good healthy snack ideas that will not give to many calories, but still make you feel satisfied for more than 30 minutes?

I find snacking on things like an apple, grapes, yogurt, string cheese and wheat thins.... all help with me but I am not someone that requires a lot of snacking.... I can go all day without eating but when I do eat, the foods I eat and portions is my issue! :) I am right there with you! Losing weight is so much more of a struggle this time around then before!

I don't like diets either,,but I do need to get healthier and for me I know that the healthier eating will lead to weightloss....at least I hope it will. lol

Hey sis! Julie went to a seminar a month or so ago for Dr. Ann and brought home a book and a bunch of info about healthy eating. Any way I got really into it and starting packing Johnathon and my lunches. We have been doing really well at our house and I even lost 8 lbs in a month. Dr Ann has a blog that you would love!

Shes really great because its not about dieting, or carbs, or calories, its just about eating healthy and avoiding foods that don't provide benefits. I learned a lot about nutrition from her.

Thanks Dawn,, I'll definatly check out the blog! And congrats on the 8 pounds! Mom said you've been exersizing and stuff and she needed to start getting back to the fitness center so she's not so saggy when she goes to Mexico with you. LOL
